here . Applicants should be aware that we are looking for someone who already holds training and certificates for DiT, and this is not a training opportunity. Existing workers in Leeds IAPT have recently said they particularly enjoyed the variety of their work and feel well supported by colleagues and the management team. We are looking for a conscientious, reliable, and resilient person who has the best interests of service user needs at the core of their practice. You will be well organized, have a high standard of communication, and be a committed and active team worker. You will possess a high standard of self-motivation and be able to work independently. You will be skilled in liaison and collaboration with both professionals and service users. We are therefore especially keen to receive applications from under-represented communities with the above qualifications. This is a core part of our service Vision & Values, as we strive to reflect the communities that we support. Main duties of the job
The role advertised is a .6 FTE position equating to 22.5 hours. Our DiT clinicians are expected to provide either early or late afternoon appointments in line with the service's vision to provide wide access to therapy. The service operates with a hybrid approach, meaning that there is a portion of the clinical time that is allocated to seeing patients face to face within a clinic; the rest, the clinician is able to work from, or if preferred, from one of our bases. We are keen to hear from applicants who also have the capacity to supervise other DiT clinicians or counsellors; however, this is not essential. The post holder will be part of an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service and will provide Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (assessments and interventions) to clients aged 16+. The post holder will work with clients who have a range of complex depression-related problems, who are deemed appropriate for psychodynamic psychotherapy. The post holder will work with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and should be committed to equal opportunities. You must also be willing to engage in reflective practice and clinical supervision with a focus on developing as a therapist offering DiT. We recognize that people from BME communities are under-represented in the LMWS workforce. There are supporting spaces for time with your team, other members of staff providing DiT, and also protected time for training and CPD. About us
