Job Summary

The Marketplace Manager is a hands-on role responsible for executing strategies to grow sales and optimize performance across online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Tik Tok). This individual will oversee product listings, implement campaigns, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure seamless execution of marketplace activities to achieve revenue and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities

Execution of Marketplace Strategies:

  • Implement and manage day-to-day operations across multiple online marketplaces.
  • Oversee listing strategies, pricing updates, promotions, and advertising campaigns.

Product Listing Management:

  • Create, update, and optimize product listings to ensure accuracy and maximize discoverability.
  • Execute keyword research, SEO optimization, and content enhancements for better rankings.

Sales Optimization:

  • Launch and manage marketplace campaigns, such as Amazon Sponsored Ads or flash sales.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing dynamically to remain competitive and profitable.
  • Track promotional performance and refine tactics in real time.

Inventory & Fulfillment:

  • Ensure real-time monitoring of stock levels to avoid stockouts or overstock issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure order fulfillment SLAs are met.

Account Management:

  • Maintain marketplace health by addressing compliance issues, customer complaints, and account suspensions proactively.
  • Resolve disputes and customer queries promptly to maintain positive ratings.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Monitor sales trends, traffic, and conversion metrics and adjust tactics based on data insights.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with actionable recommendations.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and supply chain, to align on marketplace strategies.
  • Liaise with marketplace representatives to troubleshoot issues and leverage promotional opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing marketplace accounts (e.g., Amazon, Amazon Vendor Central , )
  • Proven track record of executing marketplace campaigns and driving measurable results.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in using marketplace tools and software (e.g., Amazon Seller Central, Helium 10, Jungle Scout).
  • Strong command of Excel, data analysis, and inventory management platforms.

Soft Skills:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on results.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Execution rate for listings, campaigns, and updates.
  • Revenue growth and profit margins.
  • Inventory accuracy and fulfillment success rate.
  • Marketplace account health metrics.
  • Customer satisfaction ratings and reviews.
Working Conditions:

Full-time, and hybrid role.
