What does the role look like?

Do you have a background in Early Careers, specifically around Apprenticeships? Have you worked with Managers to support an Early Careers programme? At Actuation Systems, we are on an exciting journey of transformation with the aim to continually grow and develop our early careers across the organisation. Please note, whilst recruitment will be a small part of the job role, this is not solely an Early Careers recruitment role.

As an Early Careers Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Early Careers Team at Actuation Systems in developing a talent pipeline of early careers to ensure we are future ready. As the business evolves and transforms, you will support the Early Careers Lead in ensuring we are attracting, developing, and retaining the best future talent. You will support the operational delivery of our range of apprentice, graduate, and industrial placement programmes from talent pipeline, acquisition, development - all the way through to final role transition.

We are looking for a collaborative, skilled, and dedicated professional who has a real passion for developing emerging talent. Whilst predominantly being based in Wolverhampton, you will also have responsibility for delivering programmes at our site in Banbury. Due to the nature of the role, please note, the successful candidate will be based on site. What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

Help to innovate, enhance, and develop our apprentice, graduate, and industrial placement programmes to be best in class.

Provide effective pastoral and welfare support to all assigned early careers.

Hold regular review and feedback sessions for assigned emerging talent.

Provide advice, guidance, and support to managers and mentors across the business.

Support the recruitment, onboarding, and induction of approximately 50+ new early careers per year.

Help facilitate and implement key development initiatives including a range of enrichment activity.

Co-ordinate Outreach / STEM activities across the region.

Be a key link between Collins Aerospace and a wide network of universities and colleges.

Oversee the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) account and report on usage of the apprenticeship levy fund.

Co-ordinate the work experience programme, provide efficient, effective, and confidential administration support, and maintain effective monitoring and tracking systems. Support the progression of work experience candidates to other provisions i.e. Apprenticeships.

Support relationships with educational institutions, industry professionals, and employers to create opportunities for apprenticeships, professional development, and mentorship for our colleagues.

Facilitate regular networking and development days for our apprentices and graduates. Attend and promote Collins at job and career fairs. Attend assemblies and events in schools to actively promote Apprenticeships. Promote the Collins brand.

Maintain databases for apprenticeships and graduates. Create monthly data reports on progress against metrics.

What will you bring to the role?

Essential skills:

Expertise in apprenticeship standards, Digital Apprenticeship Service, and collaborating with training providers.

Proven experience in Early Careers, Emerging Talent, or Learning & Development roles.

Passionate about developing emerging talent with a strong desire to nurture potential.

Desirable skills:

Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Creative, flexible, and innovative, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Skilled in relationship management, thriving in a highly collaborative team environment.

Proficient in managing databases, reporting with Excel, pivot tables, and PowerPoint, and leveraging social media platforms to promote talent opportunities.

CIPD Level 3.
