Role Purpose

We are looking for an energetic and passionate Early Identification & Intervention Play and Learn Worker to be a part of our dedicated team which supports families with children under five (up to 11) by offering universal and targeted services. These sessions vary, but include high quality Stay and Play sessions for all ages of children from 0-11, sessions for 2 year olds and health related sessions, family services according to the need of the Children’s Centre, such as speech and language support groups, and individual and group interventions. Requirements

The post holder must have good time and record keeping skills, and the capacity to adapt to new and challenging environments. IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel spreadsheets and email are essential. You should also be a lively and engaged team player, willing to get stuck in and, above all, love working with children and young people. Candidates will need a full current understanding and knowledge of children's emotional, physical, psychological, and educational developmental needs from 0 to 5 years, Level 3 qualification in an Early Years related field at a minimum and recent experience of working with children and families including families with complex needs. This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children. Permanent x 1 - 17.5 hours per week. You will be based within one of the four localities in the local authority. This post is open to the following types of applicants: Redeployees/ Internal.
