Job Summary:
To provide a high standard of individualised patient care to all patients attending the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU) and Out Patients Gynaecology at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. To ensure that care is evidence-based and patient-centered. The post holder will assist in the management and organisation of the nursing service within the Outpatient areas, including the teaching and management of more junior staff or those in training. Main Duties of the Job: Providing nursing care, support, and clinical function to women attending the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and Outpatients Gynaecology. Supporting nursing care of women suffering pregnancy loss or assessment for viable pregnancy. Being a patient advocate and providing support for patients' medical, social, and psychological needs whilst attending the Outpatient areas. About Us:

Are you a nurse with an interest in gynaecology, pregnancy, and supporting women through pregnancy loss? Are you able to meet the challenge of delivering high standards of care in a busy outpatients setting, ensuring that each person's journey is an individualised experience? Gynaecology or Early Pregnancy experience is not required as training will be given and there will be opportunities for future development. You must hold NMC midwifery registration and be able to show evidence of current practice/updating. We welcome applications from newly qualified staff nurses. Current and up-to-date knowledge and development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer care focus and ability. Clinical competencies necessary for the Outpatients and procedures environment. Computer skills. Mentorship and teaching ability. Ability to provide support and supervision for junior colleagues. Desirable: Previous Outpatient or EPAU experience within the NHS. Interest in women's health, gynaecology, and pregnancy.
