This opportunity will be working in the pre-school group. They do physical activity in the morning, setting the children up for the day and encourage garden play from the moment the children arrive. They encourage child-initiated play and follow the children's interests, with lots of free flow play. They focus on 1:1, small groups or they may do a welly walk or visit the local farm, canal or local park with the whole group. They help children develop independent skills such as putting on shoes, coats and routine hand washing, and a regular part of the day is preparing children for early reading and writing with lots of activities around letters and sounds.
