Early Years Educator – Room Leader Working Hours:

Flexible hours required, including potential weekends and evenings based on nursery needs. Key Responsibilities:

Child Development:

Assess and plan educational activities that support children’s holistic development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring that each child’s individual needs and interests are catered to. High-Quality Care:

Deliver exceptional care and education, creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children can thrive, explore, and develop their skills. Team Leadership:

Support and mentor nursery staff, fostering their professional growth and enhancing their understanding of early years education best practices. Promote a positive and collaborative working atmosphere among team members. Parental Engagement:

Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and encouraging parental involvement in nursery activities and events. Intimate Care:

Provide respectful and dignified intimate care, following nursery policies to ensure children’s comfort and well-being during personal care routines. Health & Safety:

Ensure the nursery adheres to health and safety regulations, conducting regular risk assessments to maintain a safe learning environment. Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of children’s development, progress, and any incidents, ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements and nursery policies. Continuous Improvement:

Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest educational practices, legislation, and industry standards. Requirements:

Experience:

Proven experience working with children aged birth to 5 years in a nursery or similar setting. Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Team Player:

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to the nursery’s ethos. Flexibility:

Adaptability to meet the changing needs and priorities of the nursery, including a willingness to work flexible hours. Qualifications:

Education:

National Diploma Level 3 in Early Years Childcare or equivalent qualification, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework. Knowledge:

Familiarity with child protection procedures, safeguarding practices, and Ofsted requirements is essential. First Aid Certification:

Up-to-date paediatric first aid qualification is preferred. How to Apply:
