Genuinely loves guiding and nurturing children to be their very best selves. Enjoys preparing an environment that fosters creativity, independence, self-confidence, and curiosity. Knowledge of Montessori approach would be great but not essential as we practice different pedagogies, such as play and Reggio. Is able to take initiative to keep learning records and plan activities based on your observations of the children, their interests, needs, and strengths. Enjoys building positive relationships with parents, colleagues, and other agencies who may visit the service. Is able to provide an inclusive environment so ALL children feel they belong. Enjoys outdoor activities (whatever the weather) and is willing to develop the outdoor curriculum with the team. Is excited to develop their own practice. The successful candidate will be supported with relevant paid CPD. Has experience of working in an early years service. We offer small teacher/child ratios, Christmas and summer bonus, and a birthday day off. Minimum Fetac/QQI Level 6 in Early Childhood and Care and Education is required.
