Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship – Level 5 – Top Bananas The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Top Bananas as a Level 5 Childcare Deputy Manager. Top Bananas Pre-School opened in 2016 and expanded to a Day Nursery in 2019. It is located within the Life Centre, Moordown. It is run by highly qualified and experienced practitioners who are enthusiastic about their role. The ethos of the setting is to Play, Learn and Grow together. Top Bananas is situated within the Life Centre. It has its own private entrance via Brassey Road, 100 meters along on the left-hand side. Enter through the car park and towards the back, where the outside play area can be seen. A secure door entry system is in place to ensure the safety of the children. The Pre-School and Nursery have their own separate entrance and this is clearly visible. Main Responsibilities: Assist the manager with the day-to-day running of the setting on the floor hands-on and in the office. Delegate to the team of staff. Lead and manage the team. Supervise and engage with children during playtime, always ensuring their safety and well-being. Liaise with parents, colleagues, and professionals. Be hands-on and manage daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and outdoor activities. Drive initiatives that promote social skills, creativity, and emotional development among children. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behaviour as required. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years Childcare and Development. GCSEs A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills. Must obtain a clear DBS. Hours: Top Bananas are open between the hours of 07:15-17:45 Monday – Friday. Working hours will be approximately 40 hours per week.
