We are currently recruiting for Early Years Practitioners at Gidea Park. We understand that you may be looking for flexible work to fit around your other commitments, so we are able to offer flexible and daily work. As a flexible member of staff, you would be able to select your availability and be called upon to work in one of our nurseries. We would offer work to you in your local area at one of our small friendly nurseries. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our thriving nursery. We have seen very rapid growth over the past 18 months, and this is projected to continue with the addition of a baby room and expansion to accommodate demand. Working alongside our manager, you will work together to shape this continued growth. Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery is an independent, co-educational day school for children aged 2 to 11, where pupils get the best start possible and learn in a happy and secure environment. Founded in 1917, we have been educating, nurturing, and challenging children for over 100 years. Children are at the heart of everything we do; our small classes and school environment truly allow us to know our pupils as individuals and to tailor our teaching and curriculum accordingly. We have high expectations for our pupils' academic progress and personal development and work closely with our parents to ensure that all our pupils get the very most from their time with us. The nursery is a small, friendly setting where all staff are highly experienced and get to know each child. Communication with parents is very important, and we keep parents informed of children's day-to-day activities and progress. The nursery is an integral part of the whole school, and older pupils frequently interact and play with the nursery children throughout the day. You will be welcomed into our settings and assist our passionate staff in delivering excellent education to our pupils. Skills and Experience Required

NVQ level 2 or 3 or an equivalent early years qualification. The ability to maintain children’s safety and wellbeing at all times. The ability to undertake duties as directed by the Manager. Experience encouraging learning and development through play and teaching. Experience creating a secure environment, using imagination to help children to learn. Knowledge of working with parents to support their children. Enabling children to build their literacy, language, and numeracy skills. Monitoring progress and planning educational games. Putting together activities which will keep the children engaged throughout the day. A flexible and adaptive nature and able to take on varied tasks as they arise. If you are interested in working at Gidea Park, please apply ASAP. Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery are totally committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children & young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, as all new staff will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance, identity checks, qualification checks, and employment checks to include an exploration of any gaps within employment, two satisfactory references, and registration with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
