Little Robins Day Nursery are currently seeking enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated Level 3 Childcare Practitioners to join our team located in Glenfield, Leicester and work in partnership with all the families in attendance of the setting.

The potential candidate must have a full & relevant Level 3 Early Years childcare qualification and be flexible on a shift pattern, 5 days a week (Monday-Friday), both full and part time positions available.

Responsible to:

Nursery Manager/Team Leader/Senior

Objective of the Role:

Safeguard and promote the welfare and safety of all children within the nursery.

Deliver high-quality physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care to all children.

Support other team members across the nursery.

Contribute to a team environment that enables all children to play, learn, and develop effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to the nursery’s safeguarding procedures to ensure all children are safe and secure.

Implement a tailored program of activities that meets the individual needs and interests of the children, in collaboration with other team members.

Maintain and share records of key children’s development and learning journeys with parents, carers, and other significant adults.

Foster a positive team environment and support all staff.

Communicate and cooperate with parents and other family members.

Participate in activities outside of regular hours, such as training, staff meetings, parents' evenings, and fundraising events.

Remain flexible within the nursery's working practices, assisting where needed, including with domestic tasks like preparing snacks, meals, and cleaning.

Work alongside the Manager and staff team to achieve the nursery's vision.

Understand and comply with all relevant policies and procedures.

Accurately record accidents, ensuring reports are signed by the Duty Manager before being issued to parents.

Be mindful of the nursery as a whole, considering where your skills can best be utilised and being constantly aware of the needs of all children.

Ensure that children are collected by individuals pre-approved by the nursery and parents.

Maintain the confidentiality of all information received.

Specific Childcare Tasks:

Plan and execute activities tailored to each child's developmental stage and interests.

Enhance your role within the team, particularly as a key person/worker.

Ensure mealtimes are enjoyable and socially engaging.

Attend to the washing and changing of children as needed.

Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness always.

Promptly address the needs of unwell children and notify management.

Develop and sustain effective communication and partnerships with parents/carers to support daily care and early learning.

Provide an inclusive, high-quality environment that caters to the needs of all children, regardless of disabilities, family backgrounds, or medical history.

Be aware of the nursery’s community profile and always uphold its standards, both during and after work hours.

From £23,795.20 per year
