Rosemount's Little Rascals are looking to recruit an Early Years Practitioner for a lunch cover position, working 11am - 2pm each day to cover staff lunches and provide care for the children over the lunch period. There will also possibly be the opportunity for additional hours to cover sickness and holidays which will be Monday to Friday, 8 to 5. These will be planned and/or short notice shifts.
You will work closely with your colleagues to create a caring and safe environment for children and be a role model to training staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must hold a minimum of SVQ 3, HNC, degree or equivalent in education or childcare. Someone who is enthusiastic, warm and friendly who has a genuine passion to work with children and who will contribute to providing a high-quality environment for all children and families. Candidate must be fully qualified (or working towards the required qualification), have a working knowledge of the Early Years as well as practice experience.
Duties:
Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
Provide individualized attention and support to meet the unique needs of each child.
Promote positive behaviour management techniques and encourage social-emotional development.
Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's learning journey.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, observations, and assessments.
Support children's personal care needs, including feeding and toileting.
Experience:
Previous experience working with young children in an early years setting.
Knowledge of the EYFS framework and understanding of child development and nurture principles.
Ability to create engaging and stimulating learning environments.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
