Kay & Dan's Daycare is a small & independent daycare offering spaces to 16 children aged 0-5 years. We provide a free-flow learning environment between indoors and outdoors, considering all weather conditions. ROLE: Early Years Practitioner Room Leader for ages 2-5 years - 40 hours full-time, term-time only, available Monday to Friday with a weekly rota. MUST The ability to clear an Enhanced DBS check A drive for self-motivation Some experience working in Early Years Full & Relevant Level 3 in Early Years The role would be ideal for someone looking for a challenge and wanting to work within a small team, passionate about providing high-quality care, education, and offering our little ones a wide range of experiences & learning opportunities. Responsibilities: Provide high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting, fostering their development and learning. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote early childhood education and social skills. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress. Ensure a safe and nurturing environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to support a cohesive educational approach. Manage a small team of practitioners effectively to deliver an ambitious, flexible curriculum driven by children’s interests. Have a good knowledge of child development to accurately observe and assess children. A minimum NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent Foundation degree or BA in Early Years.
