Early Years Practitioner
Early Years Practitioner focuses on supporting the learning and development of children aged 0–5 through meaningful play and planned experiences.
What the role involves
- Supporting the learning and development of children aged 0–5 through meaningful play and planned experiences.
- Ensuring every child feels valued, nurtured and challenged according to their individual needs and interests.
- Following safeguarding procedures and promoting a strong culture of safety.
- Building positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents across multiple settings.

- Supporting across Green Giraffe Nursery settings when needed.
Skills and requirements
- At least 1 year’s experience in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
- A current Enhanced DBS, or willingness to undergo a check.
- This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and at least two satisfactory references.
Candidate fit
- Patience, safeguarding awareness, EYFS understanding, and clear family communication.
