We are seeking a passionate and experienced
Room Leader
to join our
Private Day Nursery
in Drighlington. As a
Room Leader , you will play a key role in delivering exceptional
Early Years Education
and care to children aged 0-5 years, in line with the
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
framework. If you're an experienced
Early Years Practitioner

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Early Years Practitioners, ensuring the highest standards of care and learning are delivered to children. Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging learning activities based on the
EYFS
framework, ensuring each child's development is supported. Promote a
safe ,
stimulating , and
inclusive environment
where every child feels valued and can thrive. Conduct
observations , document children's progress, and complete
assessments
in line with
EYFS
and
Development Matters
guidelines. Manage and mentor a team of practitioners, offering guidance, support, and training as necessary to ensure high-quality practice. Work closely with parents and carers to provide regular updates on their child's development, progress, and well-being. Ensure that the room is compliant with all
Ofsted
regulations and nursery policies. Take a proactive role in the implementation of
safeguarding ,
health and safety , and
child protection

Early Years Education and Childcare
qualification (or equivalent). A minimum of 2 years' experience working in an
early years
setting, with some experience in a
supervisory
role. A sound understanding of the
EYFS
framework and
Ofsted
requirements. Experience of
planning ,
observing , and assessing children's development. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of practitioners. Excellent
communication
and
interpersonal skills . DBS check
(or willingness to undergo one). Knowledge of
safeguarding
and child protection procedures. Desirable Skills: SEN
(Special Educational Needs) experience and understanding of inclusive practices. Experience working with
2-year-olds
or in a
Toddler Room . Paediatric First Aid
qualification. Leadership
and
management
