An exciting opportunity has arisen to cover maternity leave in the Early Years Sector Support team to support the expansion of early funding. This team is focused on supporting early years and childcare settings in Newcastle, ensuring that parents of children under 5 can access free childcare places. Between April 2024 and September 2025, this will extend to children from 9 months old of working parents and double from 15 to 30 hours. This role will help ensure the success of this rollout.
Experience and knowledge of early years and/or family services is required. Good ICT skills and knowledge of Word and Excel are essential, as are good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

The job involves a combination of office and home working and can allow considerable flexibility in working patterns.
