February 2025 Long Term Futures is searching for a patient and nurturing SEN teaching assistant to join our welcoming two-form entry primary school in Aston. The role involves supporting students in EYFS on a 1:1 basis. Some of the children are non-verbal, and the role will focus on developing their communication and interaction skills through play-based activities. This position is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the successful candidate. The Ideal Candidate: Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 12 months' experience in an educational/nursery establishment. Experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD, non-verbal). Experience helping children develop communication and interaction skills. Knowledge of the UK EYFS and Key Stage One primary curriculum. A calm, patient, and caring persona. Good communication skills. A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines. The School: Two-form entry primary school. Great transport links.
