Term Time Teachers are working with a primary school in Sevenoaks to recruit an Early Years Teaching Assistant. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily teaching and learning of all students in the class. The position is set to start in January 2025. As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will be essential in supporting children's learning and development. You will encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures confidence and helps students strengthen their academic abilities. The school is dedicated to making learning exciting while supporting and developing young, curious minds, all while maintaining high expectations for achievement. They are proud to have achieved 'Excellent' in all areas in their most recent ISI inspection. Your key responsibilities as an Early Years Teaching Assistant: Work with small groups or individual children to support specific learning needs. Assist the Early Years Teacher in planning and supporting children's learning in line with the EYFS framework. Observe children's progression and development, recording key observations and providing feedback to the teacher. Be able to remain calm and composed if presented with challenging behaviour. Encourage participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities. Work in accordance with the legal requirements and policies of the school. Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils. Requirements: Minimum level 3 Early Years qualification. Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum. Have previous experience working with children. An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be happy to apply. Hold the Right to Work in the UK. Be able to provide two references within the last 2 years.
