To provide essential specialist expertise in Echocardiography. This post will require flexible working within the Trust, working at the North Tees site, in the community at the new Stockton Community Diagnostic Centre and at the Hartlepool site as required.
Previous independent scanning in an acute NHS trust is essential.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Echocardiography team in the Cardiac Investigations Unit (CIU) at North Tees and Hartlepool Trust. There will also be an opportunity for collaborative working with South Tees cardiology.
The CIU provides a range of non-invasive services such as Echo (simple and complex), ambulatory monitoring, and device follow-up. The unit works closely with the Cardiology Day unit which carries out invasive angiography, device implants, transoesophageal echo, and cardioversions.
Exciting opportunities are ahead which will require enthusiasm, flexibility, and someone who enjoys the challenges of problem-solving and working under pressure with the ability to cope with changing demands of the directorate. The post is subject to a satisfactory CRB Disclosure.
As a fully accredited BSE echocardiographer, you will be able to independently perform echo on both inpatients and outpatients to a high standard at all trust sites. You will provide structured, clear, and accurate reports on echocardiograms and undertake additional band 7 duties to drive a high-quality service developing scanning and reporting.
Liaise with other physiologists to facilitate a seamless programme of care to patients and service to medical staff.
Extended role as required including contrast and stress echo, TOE, and specialist valve clinics.
Demonstrate regular formal evaluation and participation in QA.
