Job description As a complete ecology and habitat service provider, you can expect to work on a variety of jobs from baseline and protected species surveys, impact assessments, and biodiversity net gain to habitat creation and restoration. Whatever your interests and specialisms, we'll provide you with engaging work that allows your talents to shine. However, the work initially will focus on BNG assessments and the growth direction will be up to you. The company Ashby Energy Assessors are seeking a talented individual to join our existing team whilst growing and developing a new department within our organisation as the company expands into the ecology sector. If you have experience or are willing to develop your skills in leading ecological surveys, assessments, and monitoring programs, as well as providing technical expertise and guidance on a wide range of ecological projects, this is the job for you. About you All roles require: Educated to degree standard in an ecological/environmental discipline or demonstration of workplace experience equal to degree education. Full, UK driving licence and own car. Willingness to travel and undertake fieldwork around the UK (including overnight stays). Willingness to undertake surveys in early mornings or late evenings. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills and confident technology user. Enthusiasm for the sector and ability to work effectively in a small team. Self-motivated, able to work independently. Key responsibilities of the role Supporting our assessors by using drawing up floor plans created by the assessor within Design Builder modelling software. Carrying out energy surveys of buildings, including taking measurements and photographs. Communicating with clients and building occupants for surveys. Identifying potential options for energy efficiency improvement measures. Completing summary tables and report templates with outputs for clients.
