An excellent opportunity is available for a motivated, organised ecologist or senior ecologist within a supportive, forward-thinking consultancy practice. The role will be a mix of fieldwork and desk-based responsibilities. Work will include completing habitat and protected species surveys, mapping, drafting reports, supporting other members of the team and general organisation/administration duties.
Location: North-east England - remote working, though meeting up regularly with the team in a central location.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bat and newt survey licences, ideally including development licences as named ecologist
Good botanical skills, at least to equivalent of FISC level 3
Excellent client liaison and project management skills - a highly organised individual
Be a strong team player, with strong verbal and written communication skills and a good eye for detail
Ambition and drive
CIEEM Associate or Full Membership
Driving licence and own car essential
Package includes £27-40k p.a. depending on experience, paid overtime, structured career progression with generous training package, pension and 23 days holidays.
