A 'Good' Primary School located in Rochdale is seeking to appoint a part-time PPA teacher to work across key stages 1 and 2, two or three days a week. As a PPA teacher in this school, you will join an experienced and supportive team and work from a detailed plan to deliver lessons across the foundation subjects including maths, English, Art, Geography, History, PE, and R.E. The school is relatively flexible regarding working days and is willing to discuss this after the shortlisting process. The school ideally looks for someone to work 2 days a week but would consider offering the role on a full-time basis should this be a requirement of the right candidate.
The school is keen to consider both experienced candidates and ECTs, but as highlighted by the Head Teacher, a broad knowledge of the curriculum is essential, as is a positive working attitude and the ability to establish strong working relationships.
Although the behaviour at this school is considered to be generally good, it is paramount to the senior leadership team that the employed practitioner is confident and capable of implementing effective behaviour management strategies and working in line with their well-supported policies.
