Description

Oxford Economics, a leading global forecasting and consulting firm, is looking to hire an Editor for our Global Macro Services team, based in either London, Belfast, or Dublin. The role involves editing macroeconomic research reports to impeccable standards for accuracy, clarity, and impact. This research primarily consists of in-depth analyses and economic forecasts on countries and jurisdictions around the world, and thematic and topical reports on current economic issues. Requirements to succeed are the ability to elucidate key messages and to present complex technical analysis in accessible language for a diverse client base. While the role is focused on producing top-quality written research, an understanding of data visualisation and digital content publishing would be an advantage. In addition, you will receive regular training opportunities on economic topics and coaching to enhance your professional skills. Key Responsibilities

Edit research produced by Oxford Economics’ Global Macro Services team, primarily country economic forecasts, real estate briefings, and ad hoc thematic reports. Meet timeliness targets for publishing, and assist in managing the pipeline of editing tasks. Work closely with macroeconomists around the world, and build positive working relationships at all levels. Apply Oxford Economics’ style and writing guides to ensure our content meets exceptional editorial standards for clarity and accuracy, and to present accessible, action-oriented research for a diverse, global client base. Help improve the presentation of content, including text and data visualisations. Support the development of digital content across our subscription platform.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

A University degree or equivalent in journalism or related subject Proven experience as an editor or writer (three years minimum) Exceptional writing and editing skills An understanding of macroeconomic analysis Fluent in MS Office
