About the Role Education, Health and Care Plan Writers prepare and amend Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans to ensure they remain up-to-date and reflect a student's current views, needs, outcomes, and provision. Plan writers support to administer the EHC plan amendment process and ensure children and young people's EHC plans are high quality supporting better outcomes. Plan writers will be working with a team of established plan writers to support with meeting rising demand. Training and induction support is available to successful candidates. We have 1.0 FTE (5 days per week) post available and one 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) post available. Working hours are flexible. About You The ideal candidate will have: Excellent attention to detail, being able to process large amounts of written data. In-depth knowledge of DfE statutory requirements around SEND, especially EHC Plans and reviews. Skills in communicating effectively with a diverse range of people in a courteous and efficient manner in person, writing and on the telephone, delivering high standards of customer care. Knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by the families of children/young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities, focusing on ensuring a child-centred approach.
