Fixed-Term until 30/09/2025 Dinosaur Isle Museum, Sandown is home to the Island’s world-renowned fossil collection, including many new types of dinosaurs discovered here on the Isle of Wight. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as Temporary Part-Time Education Officer. The successful candidate will manage and lead the delivery of the museum’s schools and public engagement offer and be pivotal in developing innovative ways to interpret the collections to diverse audiences. We welcome applicants with experience in both formal and informal teaching using collections, in museums, classrooms, and in the field. Knowledge of the national curriculum and safeguarding, along with the ability to recognize and interpret geological objects, and experience in fieldwork is what we are looking for to join our team. Possession of a recognized teaching qualification would be an advantage. The role is the equivalent of 15 hours per week spread over the year and will involve weekend working and duty management as required.
