YMCA Sandgate Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service. About the service YMCA Sandgate Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)

is located between Lagoon and Keogh Street situated on the land of the Turrbal people. Our Sandgate community is both multi-cultural and linguistically diverse, priding itself on acceptance of all. We are licensed for 120 children and offer ‘Before and After School Care’ and ‘Vacation Care’ between the hours of 6.30 am – 6.00 pm Monday to Friday for 50 weeks of the year minus public holidays. We provide our children with a healthy breakfast to start their day and a menu that reflects our families and children to carry them throughout the day. Our Service philosophy reflects a child-first approach, highlighting the importance of sustainability and cultural acceptance. Our educators are dedicated professionals who bring a range of unique skills to assist with implementing spontaneous and directed play and learning experiences. About the role As an OSHC Educator, you are responsible for the care of children before school, after school, and during school holiday periods. You’ll assist in running fascinating, fun-filled, and educational activities with primary school children, such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting, and musical activities. You are currently studying or have completed a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor degree in the field of children’s services or similar You have a fantastic sense of fun and a tremendous imagination You hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification You hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or are willing to obtain one What’s in it for you?
