The EHS Manager will ensure the operation of the business is in full compliance with statutory regulations. Promote and drive forward EHS systems and programmes to ensure the company operates in a safe and responsible manner which respects the environment, health and wellbeing of our employees, customers and stakeholders. This role requires a strategic vision with a hands-on approach and the ability to engage staff at all levels of the organisation to continue to develop and drive a positive engaged EHS culture. Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Uphold and promote Company values Using the ASAT (audit) tools, develop and deploy EHS policies and procedures to ensure Compliance with all environmental health and safety legislation and Arconic requirements Promote best EHS practices throughout the business and lead culture change regarding EHS engagement and participation across the business Define EHS strategies to ensure objectives are achieved and deploy through use of balance scorecard and policy deployment Management of training matrix for all EHS related training and development and deploy internal training as required Conduct periodic safety inspections and audits and risk assessments Set and control budget Manage standards of Occupational Health ensuring adherence to Arconic standards Accident/incident investigation Manage Site security Induction of new employees and contractors Management of a direct report, EHS Admin for performance and development Qualifications Skills & Knowledge Essential NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety 3 years' experience in manufacturing environment Management of occupational health surveillance programmes Experienced people manager High attention to detail Excellent communication skills both oral and written High level of problem-solving skills Action orientated Desirable NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management Experience of ISO14001: 15001 Experience of working with A1 Environmental permits Experience of effluent chemical treatment plants Internal Auditor Qualification
