The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. A new role awaits

We have exciting opportunities for Assistant Directors to join our Service Delivery (SD) Team. SD is responsible for engaging with participants and managing participant plans and supports to ensure accessible, nationally consistent participant experiences. The SD team in NSW/ACT are a high-performing, agile and diverse workforce.

You are a leader with knowledge and experience to operate autonomously and collaborate confidently at all levels while building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a virtual team environment, so you will need to effectively lead and manage a team while also building capabilities within your team. Experienced leaders will be able to help identify areas of improvement and implement new processes in an effective way that minimises risk.

You will demonstrate a high level of legislative understanding with the ability to adapt to change and communicate this to all levels of staff, whilst leading and providing a high level of performance with the participant’s needs as well as the ongoing sustainability of the NDIA in mind. We intend to fill these roles in an ongoing capacity; however, non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
