At Armadale PS Nursery Class, we strive to provide an inclusive, playful, inspiring learning environment that sits at the heart of our community. The setting is open 50 weeks per year, and staff work flexibly on a rota across the opening hours. Armadale Primary School Nursery Class is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and nurturing ELC Practitioner to join our nursery team. The successful candidate will work as part of a forward-thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and responding to the individual needs of each child, providing high-quality, caring interactions and learning and teaching experiences. This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. The SSSC stipulates that you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with the SSSC, you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
