Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic new opportunity for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join a reputable engineering consultancy on a long-term contract basis. must have data centre experience . The selected Electrical Design Engineer will be expected to operate on a largely remote basis, with the ability to attend the Bicester office when required. Our client is a leading engineering design, energy and sustainability consultancy that specialises in delivering climate resilient solutions that create sustainable futures. They focus on delivering positive user experiences, societal benefits and asset value in the built environment sector. Due to their increasing workload, they are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. Key responsibilities Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc. Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical installations, systems, equipment, facilities. Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly and working to time allocations. Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, Amtech, Dialux/Relux, in-house developed tools. Checking the design work of fellow team members and external designers in accordance with departmental procedures. Preparing conceptual designs with a view to ensuring safe, practical, and economic solutions in accordance with current standards. Key requirements ETAP proficiency Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related subjects. Previous

data centre experience is essential. Experience of working in a design consultancy and/or some experience of working within a contractor design environment is beneficial. Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools including Amtech/Prodesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS and Microsoft packages. Any HV tools will also be beneficial. Awareness of the principles of building physics such as passive design solutions and fabric first approaches.
