The Client

Well established M&E Consultants who provide innovative design and consultancy services across a wide variety of sectors, including Retail, Commercial, Leisure, Healthcare, Education, Industrial and Residential. This organisation has a wealth of experience working on an enviable portfolio of projects from small scale to major iconic developments across the UK.

The Role

Reporting to the Associate Engineer(s) producing robust design solutions including drawing and written deliverables with moderate supervision. This includes the following key responsibilities:

To produce Electrical Design drawings, calculations (Amtech, Hevacomp, IES, Relux, Dialux), reports, specifications and schedules. To contribute to BREEAM or equivalent legislation. To contribute to Building Regulations Section 6 compliance modelling. To witness test the proving and commissioning procedures of final installations. To work to internal and external project programs effectively. To work to Company Quality Assurance management systems.

What you'll need to succeed

Electrical Engineering or Building Services related degree preferred but a minimum Engineering HNC/D or equivalent is required, with 7 years' plus experience within the Building Services industry. You will be able to communicate effectively with internal and external design team members and can liaise with lead and/or support engineers to ensure that discipline designs are completed to expected quality and programme. Other requirements of the role include being able to undertake non-intrusive surveys of existing installations and main plant spatial allowance exercises. Industry knowledge must be kept up-to-date with new legislation, standards and regulations, product development and new technology.
