Role Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Design Engineer with consulting experience in the UK to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to deliver high-quality designs for various projects across the commercial, residential, and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities: Electrical Design: Develop and deliver electrical designs for projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and other building services. Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and efficient designs. Attend project meetings and provide technical input during all project phases.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs comply with relevant UK building codes, regulations, and standards. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand project requirements and provide solutions that meet their needs. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and design concepts to clients.
Quality Assurance: Review and approve design work, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy. Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Qualifications and Skills: A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in electrical design within a consulting environment in the UK. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design tools. Strong knowledge of UK building codes, regulations, and standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
