Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Croydon, South London
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + package
The company:
Our client is a family-run M&E contractor that has been operational for nearly 40 years. They have completed several major London projects and turn over around £35-40m per year. Following recent appointment on two highlight projects, they are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to bolster their design team.
Responsibilities of the role:
You will be responsible for medium to large scale projects and individual engineering task(s) for numerous schemes for clients across the sector. This will include: The creation, development of and finalising engineering design solutions of electrical services elements. Working with other team members and project teams together with direct liaison with the client and other design team professionals. Cable calculations and verification. Containment sizing. Lighting calculations and design. Review of Electrical subcontractor packages including Fire alarms, security, data etc. The ideal candidate will:
Have minimum 3 years' experience in an electrical engineering role. Have experience with Amtech and preferably AutoCAD. Be comfortable proactively taking ownership of project design. Have experience taking designs from stage 3. Have a willingness to develop their career and to strive towards promotion. Experience with Sustainability targets such as BREEAM, NABERS and WELL preferable.
