JOB ROLE OVERVIEW
Specification of electrical components/wiring/cabling
Control panel design
Create parameter sets for variable frequency drives
Create and maintain electrical drawings and documentation
Work with shop floor team to commission and fault find new equipment
Support junior engineers, installation team and end customers
Product development
Validate new designs through prototyping
Drive improvements in quality and efficiency within the technical department
Communicate effectively across departments and disciplines
Work within company quality and safety procedures
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Essential:
Qualified to HNC Level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar Comfortable with variable frequency drives and PLC's Capable of using CAD software to create electrical schematics Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Excel Comfortable interacting across the business Confident discussing projects with various stakeholders Able to work from heights for occasional site visits Able to manage own workload in a fast-paced environment
Desirable: Degree qualified or equivalent in Electrical Engineering 5+ years' experience in a similar industry Zuken E3 experience Experience working to National/European Standards (e.g. BS EN 60204, UL508) Experience working in the crane/hoist sector or similar material handling environments Knowledge of Functional Safety
