Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic new opportunity for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join a global engineering company on a contract basis. This position is outside IR35, and provides a great opportunity to work on a variety of exciting data centre projects. The successful candidate will operate on a remote basis, however some presence in the London office is preferred from time to time. As a hands-on delivery of design role, the successful candidate

With offices strategically located worldwide, they are dedicated to providing expertise in building services, engineering design, and advisory services. Key Responsibilities
Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc. Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical installations, systems, equipment, facilities. Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly and working to time allocations. Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, Amtech, Dialux/Relux, in-house developed tools. Checking the design work of fellow team members and external designers in accordance with departmental procedures. Preparing conceptual designs with a view to ensuring safe, practical, and economic solutions in accordance with current standards. Key Requirements
Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related subjects. Solid background working on Data Centre projects. Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools including Amtech/Prodesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS and Microsoft packages. Any HV tools will also be beneficial. Awareness of the principles of building physics such as passive design solutions and fabric first approaches.
