KAP Technical Electrical Design Engineer About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to lead the electrical design function for new packaging production machines. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects within a growing business focused on developing cutting-edge technology. Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the principal electrical designer for projects. Design safety systems and ensure compliance with relevant standards. Create detailed designs for electrical cabinets and pneumatic systems. Originate all electrical and pneumatic drawings. Support the build and testing of electrical cabinets and machines. Participate in the build and run-up testing of machines. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults during build and commissioning stages. Assist the Controls Engineer with commissioning activities. Conduct electrical safety assessments, risk evaluations, and ensure standards compliance. Produce electrical Bills of Materials (BOMs). Skills & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have: A minimum foundation degree, HNC, HND, or degree in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering. SolidWorks Electrical experience (advantageous). At least 5 years of experience designing machine electrical systems from scratch. Knowledge of UKCA/CE marking, PUWER, and machine certification requirements. Expertise in motor drive technologies (servo, DC, stepper, and AC motors). IOSH or equivalent health and safety certification (advantageous). PUWER accreditation or understanding (advantageous). Strong analytical skills with a cause-effect mindset. Excellent communication and general computer skills. What We Offer:

Pension Contribution: Equal to 5% of your base salary (optional opt-out available). Holiday Entitlement: 25 days plus public holidays (pro-rata for part-time employees).
