Working as part of a Team on projects to develop a functional process for automated assembly lines. Required to design electrical processes that adhere to all relevant safety regulations, develop controls schematics, liaising with both mechanical design for content and electricians for build elements of the design lifecycle. Your Responsibilities

Ownership of the electrical design standards, driving positive change throughout the business. Developing electrical design machine control systems from concept through to final detailed stage to fulfil customer standards and specifications. Observe and comply with management systems, ISO9001 quality systems and CE/UKCA Safety Standards. Produce technical/functional specifications and work closely with the controls manager to assess architecture. Creation of a full set on Electrical Schematics including BOM’s to company standards and specifying requirements for the purchasing of components. Creation of clear panel layouts in 2D & 3D. Cable Label exports & IO Exports. Produce accurate documentation to support designs and assist with the preparation and compiling of manuals and other related documents. Communicate and report on project progress, solve problems and initiate corrective actions from redlines and design changes, supporting the completion of the project on time, within budget and functioning correctly and safely. Who we are looking for

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy. Good interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate and build relationships. Work collaboratively to achieve project/company goals. Comfortable to work at pace to deliver solutions. Self-driven with a can do attitude, able to take ownership of the process and drive change. Analytical approach to seeking solutions with demonstrable problem solving expertise. Effective communicator both written and verbal in English. Eligibility to work in the UK/EU. There will be travel associated with this role which will involve stays away from home. Your preferred qualifications

Minimum 3 years experience of electrical design in automation. Minimum 3 years experience in electrical design of welding lines. Proficient in the use of EPLAN, including fluid and 3D panel design. Advanced knowledge of Network Protocol connections. Advanced knowledge of safety architecture design (safe zones, 24V/230V isolation). Advanced experience working with automation equipment both panel and field. Electrical standards and latest safety standards related to automation assembly lines. Blue print reading and electrical schematics. What we offer
