Senior / Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services / MEP)
Salary to 60k dependent on experience
37 hour week, 25 days holiday, pension

This role is to join a specialist building services design consultancy with a real emphasis on sustainability. They work on projects such as commercial, hospitality, hotels, heritage, education, and leisure.

Responsibilities
Undertake electrical design work consisting of surveys, design, drawings, and specifications for projects, including calculations on cable sizing and lighting selections.
Work in conjunction with other design team members.
Ensure the design and maintenance of building systems meet legislative requirements.
Participate in the preparation of budget costs.
Attend site as part of the construction phase and participate in site meetings.
Prepare snagging lists, valuations (if required), and inspections.
Maintain familiarity with current techniques and industry developments.
Support and manage junior design engineers as required.
Experience Required
Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer dealing with designs from client briefs to completion.
A minimum of 3 years design experience in building design systems.
Experience in electrical system design and coordination for office and residential buildings.
Fully conversant with British Standards.
Confident user of a range of software including Amtech, Dialux, and Relux.
A degree in Electrical Engineering would be beneficial but not essential.
