About The Role As an Electrical Design Manager / CAD Manager, you will be responsible for: Leading and managing a team of 5+ Design Engineers. Overseeing the 2D electrical design process. Attending design review meetings with clients, checking engineers' designs, and ensuring drawing accuracy. Maintaining CAD libraries / CAD blocks. Managing document control using Autodesk Vault. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and workflow. Handling design-related issues and ensuring smooth project execution within deadlines. Working closely with the Deputy to develop and enhance team performance. Team management - mentoring, training, appraisals, recruitment etc.

About You The ideal candidate will have: Proven leadership experience in managing and overseeing an electrical design team. Experience managing the Electrical design process (2D ideally within an AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar environment). Familiarity with CAD libraries and BOM creation. Experience managing design processes (hands-on AutoCAD skills are not essential). Strong organisational skills to handle a fast-paced and growing workload. Project management experience with an electrical design background could be considered. The ability to adapt, improve, and implement new processes to enhance design efficiency. Experience in progressive businesses and familiarity with a scaling organisation would be advantageous.
