Negotiable based on experience + Excellent Benefits including Pension, Healthcare and Bonus The Role The Controls & Instrumentation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and documenting the electrical and control system for marine application, achieving the required class compliances. You will draw on previous PLC experience to help create the best possible systems for the business. The Controls & Instrumentation Engineer will support aspects such as component selection, providing expert guidance on the marine sector's requirements, field-based installation and commissioning, and supplier selection. Additionally, you will prepare and maintain the documentation for the electrical systems including PI&Ds, functional design specification and schematics. The Controls & Instrumentation Engineer will ensure the appropriate adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation across their work areas. The Person The successful candidate will possess proven experience in controls and instrumentation design and be able to demonstrate hands-on experience in the field on installation and commissioning of systems. The Controls & Instrumentation Engineer will be proficient in using CAD software and possess solid PLC knowledge ideally on the Siemens platform. You will be well versed in marine and industrial engineering principles with a passion for sustainability and clean energy solutions. The role requires the flexibility to work overseas approximately 25% of the annual working period with travel being fully expensed and organised by the business on your behalf.
