As an Electrical Engineer on our substation project, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the electrical aspects of substation construction and upgrades. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that all electrical systems are installed and commissioned safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop electrical designs for substations, including primary and secondary equipment, protection and control systems, and cable layouts. Ensure that designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes (IEC, IEEE, etc.). Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems at the substation site. Ensure that all work is performed on schedule and within budget. Provide technical guidance to contractors and other project teams, troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues as they arise during construction and commissioning phases. Review and approve technical drawings, material specifications, and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with design requirements. Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including conducting risk assessments and safety audits on-site. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure that the project meets client expectations. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical engineering, specifically in substation design and construction projects. Experience with high-voltage systems is a significant advantage. Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory). Familiarity with power system protection, control systems, and relay settings. Strong understanding of electrical standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, IEEE). Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong project management and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
