2024-08-04 TXM Recruit is currently looking for a Facilities Electrical Engineer to work in the Chertsey, Surrey area, focusing on ultra-high-end mansions for a private property management solution company. The role involves working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8-4 or 9-5, with significant overtime available. Weekend work is required on a shift rota (approximately 1 in 4, varying).

This role requires flexibility during the busy season (May to October) regarding hours and days worked.

Salary:

£52,000 (Overtime after 40 hours is at time and a half)

Key Responsibilities: Provide maintenance support (including installation, planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance) related to site services, plant/equipment. Carry out testing, inspection & certification of distribution boards and fixed wiring installations. Participate in the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team. Work on a seasonal shift pattern (some weekends/evenings). Conduct repairs and corrective works on internal & external wiring systems. Prioritize work programs to satisfy business needs. Maintain & install emergency lighting. Oversee contractors on site, monitoring the implementation and performance of tasks allocated. Deliver specialist technical support and services concerning building plant/equipment. Perform wiring fault diagnostics. Demonstrate knowledge of plant room electrical services, including motors, pumps, FCU, etc. Follow site plans & schematic drawings. Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work are delivered to the required level. Apply health, safety, and environmental procedures and processes robustly. Maintain professionalism with an emphasis on confidentiality. Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly health & safety. Perform any other duties as required. Benefits: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays Company vehicle & fuel card provided (not to be taken home) Unlimited overtime Working for a high-end client End of year rewards Private medical Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities: Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in relevant discipline, e.g., Electrical) Ability to write reports/job sheets manually or electronically. BS7671 17th or 18th Edition City & Guilds qualification. C&G 2391 Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations or equivalent qualifications. Experience in building services. Full clean UK driving licence. Good knowledge and competency in other areas of building services (BMS, Mechanical). Personal Attributes: Highly conscientious, reliable, and punctual. Strong time management, organization, and planning skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Drive and enthusiasm with a “can do” approach and problem-solving ability. Highly flexible and adaptable.
