Our Consultancy area specializes in the technical assessment of renewable energy projects. We work for the entities that finance the projects or for the investment funds that buy or sell them.

We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer-Grid Connection Consultant to join our Consulting team in UK to offer Technical Advisor services to developers, owners, operators, lenders, and investors of PV, wind, and battery energy storage projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical due diligence reviews.
  • Construction stage monitoring and inspection.
  • Design reviews.

What do we need?

  • Knowledge of design and commissioning of industrial electrical infrastructure.
  • Experience with distribution and transmission level grid connection applications.
  • Experience with Independent Connection Provider (ICP) scopes of supply.
  • Undertaking feasibility assessments, power system studies, and design reviews.
  • Witnessing of site and factory acceptance testing.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills.
  • Experience leading or taking part in a technical due diligence process.
  • Dealing effectively and professionally with external and internal clients, attending meetings, etc.
  • Able to work as part of a wider engineering team and also operate autonomously as required.
  • At least 4 years of experience supporting clients with grid connection works, or 2 years of experience acting on behalf of a DNO or National Grid.

Nice to have but not mandatory:

  • Experience with distribution and transmission level grid connection.
  • At least 4 years of experience acting as an independent technical advisor in any sector.
