Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering team at their site in Kidderminster. The successful candidate will have some electrical knowledge ideally from commercial vehicles, plant hire sectors or the body building industry. A willingness to learn and ability to work to time constraints and customers specifications is essential. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Assist in diagnostics of electrical faults on vehicles Work with the Engineering department on product improvements Be involved in new and ongoing projects Provide and support manufacturing and production with technical drawings Provide internal departments & external Suppliers with drawings, BoMs and technical information Ensure compliance to all relevant standards and regulations relating to the products manufactured by the company Actively work to improve efficiencies throughout the company Undertake other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business Qualifications and Skills: Knowledge of 2D AutoCAD Knowledge of Solidworks advantageous but not essential Electrical qualification or equivalent professional experience essential Able to read and understand electrical schematics Comfortable to work in a Production environment whilst fulfilling the role. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain good housekeeping practices and demonstrate responsibility for their personal health and safety and those around them, including risk assessing their own work to ensure safe working practices are being carried out and using Personal Protective Equipment as and when appropriate. An ideal candidate will be professional and self-motivated with a good customer service ethos and the ability to solve problems alongside a desire to develop and learn. Communication skills are vital, both in dealing with external and internal customers. An ideal candidate must be confident & flexible enough to work alone and as part of a team. Good organisational skills, time management and administration skills are also vital.
