Our client is now looking for a new Electrical Engineer who will be flexible to travel to Terminal and Pipeline Network Locations in the UK reporting to the UK & IRE Engineering Manager. Acting as Technical Authority for electrical systems and equipment you will, ensure risks to safe operation are recognised, assessed, and appropriately mitigated, provide technical support, leadership and guidance to projects, operations, and maintenance. This role is responsible for plant modifications, preparing designs and specifications for new electrical systems and equipment. Site Electrical Equipment includes: Power Transformers, HV/LV Switchgear Air, Vacuum and Oil, HV/LV distribution, ATEX and FLP Motors, Motor Starters, HV / LV VSDs, Soft Starts, UPSs, Hazardous Area Cabling/Containment/Junction Boxes and Earthing and Bonding Systems. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the application of appropriate electrical engineering codes and standards and management of any deviations from standards Responsible for all electrical equipment/system performance standards. Designated Electrical Competent Person under Electricity at Work Regulations. Provide assurance to the UK & IRE Engineering Manager that the MOC process is applied correctly. Lead in the identification and scoping of projects and plant modifications. Assure Equipment is prioritised for replacement based on maintenance records and known conditions. Prepare cost estimates and business case proposals for electrical equipment/system CAPEX. Manage vendors and tenders including responding to vendor clarifications/technical queries. Participate in technical bid evaluations and FATs.
