£60-70k depending upon experience iO Associates are seeking a Review & Acceptance Engineer to work with a consulting firm with broad expertise in asset management, construction, and engineering. They create creative and sustainable solutions for the built environment and significant infrastructure in close collaboration with their clients. They assist their clients in seven main industries: Buildings and Development; Defence, Security, and Aerospace; Energy; Logistics and Transportation; Nuclear; Manufacturing and Technology; Rail; Waste and Utilities. Required: Degree, or its equivalent, in an engineering field that is applicable. Experience in the nuclear business utilising technical expertise spanning multiple disciplines. Familiarity with the building and installation sectors. Familiarity with health and safety laws, such as those pertaining to CDM and nuclear site licence requirements. Knowledge of electrical engineering through experience. Responsibilities: Functioning effectively as the site engineering team within the Joint Design Office, which oversees the engineering configuration of the plant and structures as they are built by the Contractor. Addressing general enquiries, non-conformances, change requests, and exemption requests from the on-site NSSS Contractor, with assistance from the site experts or responsible designer as needed. Providing sufficient oversight to assure that the Nuclear Safety and Environmental Regulation's criteria are fulfilled. Raising issues with design choices to ensure that engineering and design complement the project plan.
