Engineering a robotic electrical system for manufacturing in the health sector. This start-up company is putting together a modular system to enable optimised, efficient production for medical solutions. This modular system requires a complementary power and communications framework to maximise its efficiency. As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll work closely with other engineers in the team and take ownership of the full electrical system design process (from requirement capture to documentation and working with suppliers as well as commissioning). Key aspects of the role include understanding and using electrical systems for 1-phase and DC power supplies, including the development of control panels for different electronic machinery and motor controls, all under safety and quality regulations. Your work will ensure that production-ready electrical schematics and cabling are meticulously maintained, leading to successful commissioning and delivery. Requirements

Demonstrable relevant experience as an electrical engineer within an engineering/industrial product company. Experience with complex electromechanical systems including PLCs, motor drives, and power supplies. Knowledge and familiarity with common industrial communication protocols and their requirements within electrical design (ideally EtherCAT). Experience using CAD for electrical design (SolidWorks Electrical, Electra, TraceCAD Electrical, or similar). Knowledge of regulatory standards including approvals, EMC standards, and safety. The role requires good communication skills. What you do will impact others within the team, so coordinating and delivering your work on time enables the company to take big steps forward. The role is based onsite at their offices and workshop. The company provides an excellent benefits package including enhanced pension, private medical insurance, and discounts for local gym membership. Interested applicants must have full, unrestricted rights to work in the UK. No company sponsorship is available.
