Questech are recruiting for an Electrical Technician to join our clients maintenance team in the Sheffield area. You will be in charge of responding to breakdowns & completing planned maintenance. The Role: Individuals will be expected to work in all departments and gain a working knowledge of them. Provide a maintenance service to the department. Report to the Team Leader Engineering on all matters regarding the maintenance and operation of all plant and equipment. Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance. Self-organise and prioritise work requirements. Ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standard liaising with all members of the engineering department as required. Deputise for Team Leader. Requirements: A recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship (Preferably HNC but minimum ONC level or equivalent). Electrical experience in the heavy manufacturing industry. Knowledge of: Hydraulic systems. Pumps, drives, and gearboxes. Heavy machinery. Heat Treatment Systems. Material handling & processing systems. Dust extraction systems. PLCs. AC & DC circuits. The role is working 12-hour days & nights with a salary of £44,900.
