EXPERTISE . As an Electrical Engineer you will: Be a key player in the electrical build, wiring & electrical testing, special purpose automation. Work within our Productions team, gaining exposure to working closely with the manufacturing teams & the wider Ops team. CORE FUNCTIONS & OBLIGATIONS Wire machines, sub-assemblies, and control panels to Mpac schematics and documentation. Work with Senior Electrical Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, and wider project teams to highlight and resolve issues to deliver projects effectively and efficiently. Ensure time is booked accurately and rework/non-value time is logged appropriately. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Participate in machine site installations and set-up in the UK or abroad. Contribute to apprentice development and support. Always demonstrate respect, integrity, trust, and excellence in interactions with all colleagues, customers, and suppliers in line with Mpac’s internal customer ethos. Be flexible to undertake tasks that may stray from direct day-to-day responsibilities. CORE DELIVERABLES / OUTPUTS Delivering electrical builds on time, on budget, and to Mpac standards. Working in a safe manner. Maintaining good housekeeping. Being a champion for Mpac values. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR Proven ability to work under own supervision or as part of a multi-technical team. Experience of working in an electrical engineering environment. Experience of electrical/automation machinery & ability to fault find. A good understanding of low voltage systems: analogue and digital IO and other typical automation systems. Proficient with schematics and problem solving. Sound IT skills (for use of shop floor computer terminals). Ability to read and understand technical and electrical schematics. ONC / BTEC / City and Guilds in a relevant electrical/mechatronic engineering discipline. Sound interpersonal and communication skills. DESIRABLES BUT NOT NECESSITIES Experience of installations with pneumatic/electro-pneumatic equipment. Understanding of EMC screening, earthing, and bonding for machinery. Understanding of basic PLC programming. WHY MPAC?
