Electrical Engineer

to join our dynamic Building Services team. You will deliver innovative, sustainable electrical design solutions across a wide range of projects, with opportunities for rapid professional growth, including mentoring junior team members and engaging directly with clients. This role offers hybrid working, enabling you to balance office-based collaboration and remote work. With MEC Engineers, you’ll work on both local and international projects while being part of a team that values technical excellence, professional development, and work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver sustainable electrical designs across all design stages, from feasibility to completion. Be adaptable to working in a mixed discipline environment. Provide technical leadership, ensuring designs meet required standards and project deadlines. Engage with clients and industry partners to promote MEC Engineers’ reputation and secure repeat business. Contribute to our technical excellence strategy, ensuring compliance with quality assurance procedures. Work with digital tools like Amtech/Electrical OM, Relux, AutoCad, and Revit to deliver efficient and innovative design solutions. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical building services design. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or HNC with equivalent experience). Professional accreditation (e.g., IEng status) with progression toward CEng preferred. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deliver technical designs, and meet deadlines. Experience in sectors such as lighting design, automated controls, and security systems. Personal Attributes Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in peers and clients. Forward-thinking and passionate about sustainability and digital design innovation. Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
